✂️ RUFFLE WRAP SHORTS — PDF SEWING PATTERN
Eight versions. One pattern. One afternoon each.
Start with a mid-high waisted short that actually flatters, then decide what kind of summer you're having. Add the curved wrap-over panel and it reads as a skirt from the front while staying shorts underneath. Add ruffles at the front, the back, the wrap edge — or leave them off entirely for a clean tailored line. Swap the invisible zip for a soft elastic waistband and you have pyjama shorts, loungewear, or a holiday pair you'll live in.
Same pattern. Completely different garments depending on your fabric.

🧵 SKILL LEVEL
Intermediate. You'll be inserting an invisible zip, gathering a ruffle evenly, and sewing a curved overlay panel. None of it is difficult on its own, and every step is illustrated — but this is a better second or third garment than a first one. The elastic-waist version is noticeably easier if you want to start there.
🧺 FABRIC & MATERIALS (not included)
· Recommended fabric: something with drape — lightweight cotton, viscose, light crepe, cotton double gauze, lightweight linen. Elastane is not needed.

· With front, back and wrap ruffles — 1½ yd / 1.35 m
