GARDEN CHARM — PDF Quilt Pattern

Green four-patches and clean white squares, alternating in a simple checkerboard. Every four-patch is four different greens, so the whole quilt shifts from sage to forest depending on what you put in it — and no two versions ever look the same.

The layout does the work. Set the blocks in a checkerboard and the greens line up into diagonal chains running corner to corner. You don't piece a chain: it appears on its own once the rows go together.

FINISHED SIZE
46½" x 54½" — a lap quilt, a baby quilt, a sofa throw, or a wall hanging.
10 blocks across, 12 down, finishing at 4" each.

MADE FOR SCRAPS
Four-patches want small pieces, and this one wants sixty of them. Charm squares, fat eighths, the green ends of things you've already used — anything that reads green will work. The more fabrics you use, the better it looks.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
Fabric requirements and cutting instructions
Four-patch block assembly
Row and quilt-top assembly diagrams
Border, quilting and binding instructions

SKILL LEVEL
Beginner. Straight seams, squares only, no triangles and no points to match.

Want it in another colour? Swap the greens for any single-colour collection and the design works exactly the same.
